How to Use the Pan Size Scaler
Describe the pan the recipe was written for as Pan A and the pan you want to use as Pan B, then list your ingredients one per line with the amount first. Press Scale to Pan and every amount is multiplied by the pan volume ratio.
How the factor is worked out
Each pan's volume is its base area multiplied by its depth.
The factor is Pan B's volume divided by Pan A's volume.
Amounts can be whole numbers, decimals, fractions such as 3/4 or mixed numbers such as 1 1/2.
Lines without a leading amount, like Salt to taste, are passed through unchanged.
Features
Scales a full recipe to a different pan size
Supports round, square and rectangular / loaf pans in inches or centimetres
Shows amounts as decimals or common cooking fractions
Keeps every ingredient unit exactly as you typed it

The pan ratio assumes the same batter depth; if the depths differ a lot, also adjust the baking time.
